When I started making cake toppers, I learnt so much by watching Youtube videos and joining craft alongs. I decided to start my Youtube Channel in 2023 with two part videos, one for design in design space and one for assembly. I also occasionally carried out live tutorials which were so fun.
I have recently started remaking YouTube long form videos in September 2026. My historic videos were very time consuming to produce on the editing side. I used to make a cake topper twice to make sure it was perfect before I shared the design and assembly process. I would spend days editing, adding captions and voiceovers.
I get asked all the time when are you going to start making YouTube videos and I knew it’s something my audience valued and missed. Therefore to find a balance I am spending less time on creating polished videos and focusing on sharing the process. My new videos are more organic, less edited and show the process of design and assembly in real time. As I like to say “imperfectly perfect”.
I also try as much as possible to show my process in short form reels on instagram and Tiktok for those projects not on YouTube. I am always here to answer any questions, if you need help with any of my designs.
